Egyptian imports to GCC countries up $100m in 8M

Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptian exports to the Arabian Gulf states rose by around $100 million during the first eight months of the year.

Imports registered $3.5 billion between January and August 2017, compared to $3.4 billion for the same period last year, according to the data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The United Arab Emirates accounted to for the largest share of these exports with a total value of $1.9 billion, compared to $1.6 billion for the same period in 2016.

Saudi Arabia came in second place with $1 billion, followed by Kuwait with 238.5 million, Qatar with $208.4 million, Oman with $117 million, and Bahrain with $40.6 million.
